As adding new stuff something pretty far down the line, we really do not want to get bogged down with new things, it is going to be a ton of work to even get the entire base game ready to go. That being said there is nothing wrong with sharing ideas, as this is stuff we will eventually want to get around to. But do please first put your focus on helping us implement / reskin existing things.
Please keep all new card and mechanic posts to this thread:

Cross-faction decks? in list Game design principles Description Edit I always had a faible for cross-faction decks, like in MTG. What is your take on it?
Pros: - opens up possibilities for a lot of new playstyles
Cons: - makes it harder to balance cards - probably harder to justify lore-wise
Also, as I'm not a techie, how hard would it be to allow cross-faction decks?

Activity Show Details Write a comment… Chris Feb 5 at 9:24 AM (edited) Given its a card game, maybe we could experiment with this idea as a card, and not as a core game mechanic.
for example:
5 mana 3/3 neutral: You may add two cards from any faction to your deck.
Run 3x copies of this card and you have 6 non-faction cards. This effect can hopefully be balanced by making the actual minion itself bad.
As a general rule, I'd like to see more cards in the game that do things at deck creation: for example, MTG's 'relentless rats'
1 Reply Atheistmantis Feb 4 at 4:13 PM I'd like to see this only in some sort of unranked/friendly mode.
Reply DeathsAdvocate Feb 4 at 10:48 AM Having a neutral pool largely obviates the need for this and I think it is the better way to go. It is much easier to balance a neutral pool for everyone, than it is to balance everything with everything.

Ferret Pack
Limit: 12 While in your hand at end of turn Ferret Pack gains +1/+1 for each additional card named Ferret Pack in your hand
Where Limit is a new keyword that dictates the number of copies you can put in your deck.
Why I think is cool about this design? In 2 draw, the game tends to be very tempo focused. This is a minion that rewards conservative play and interesting replace decisions.
Activity Show Details Write a comment… DeathsAdvocate Feb 12 at 8:12 AM Tempo is generally a very healthy game-play style since it focuses on the back and forth aspect of the board.
However I have always liked the relentless rats style, and this could be a fun style.

Posted by Anon: Chain Lightning: bit of a cliche, but seems like the perfect sort of spell for our game.
DeathsAdvocate: We do have a couple things similar to this already, most notably Thunderhorn.
