The Songhai Stand in.
Should consist of ....
Focus is on Aggression, Position Manipulation, and just general fire themed things. Ideally both mechanically and lore wise.
Remember for now we really want to focus on copying most of the core mechanics, so rather than dreaming up new cards, we should be focused on completely re-skinning existing ones. Please leave feedback for the faction direction, and ideas for names/art of a re-skinned card.

description:"Welcome to the fire lands,a place of great views, fire obsession and people who think an active volcano is a great home.People here love fire so much that(AHHHHH!)...THEY PUT FIRE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!?Pardon me.(Archivist, please delete that last part). These people seem to think putting fire on the road is a great idea." Religion:"The people of the fire lands worship a fire god that can sometimes be spotted flying above the land.Upon seeing this god,it seems oddly similar to a Prichavalan dragon... .This 'god' is said to have brought fire and all of its wonders to the people of this land. The fire god created other gods, each representing an aspect of fire, which then gave their magic power to the inhabitants of the fire lands" Places:"The various settlements of this people are quite nice and welcoming(EXCEPT THE VOLCANO ONES what is wrong with these people). Many of the people here have a fiery or shadowy appearance(some more than others). Seems like my journey will take me to a place of smoke next..."
Archivists notes:"No can do,my dear.(It was too funny hahaha...)

Mystian the avatar of smoke lore:" As I enter a place called 'the house of smoke' I see people training in the arts of smoke magic. There I also spot a man, dressed in red, body made of smoke. He seems to be the one teaching the smoke magic. Then one of his students turned into smoke then appeared in a different spot.
That is called a smoke dash, dear visitor. Hello! I am Mystian. What brings you here, visitor? I am doing research, sir Mystian. AH!The pursuit of knowledge.I assume you took note of me and my teachings. Also, you can drop the 'sir',dear.
Then he vanished.I decided to move on until I felt something on my shoulder.I turn around and s...Nice notes..ee Mystian behind me.He then hands me back the notebook I dropped.(yes.he did write in it).I said my goodbyes and got on my way. If you see the fire snake in your travels, tell her she owes me a cup of Firesparks. he said as I left his training grounds."
Shadow magic:"On my way to my next objective,I decided to stop by a temple.Going inside,I spot two people(One appeared to be of a young age). The older one seemed to be casting a spell.I only caught a part of it(...Be sent to the shadows). After that the younger of the two turned into a shadow. The older one explains that she sent the little one to the shadow realm as a punishment for his misbehavior. In this state he lost interaction with the physical world. She also told me that she could bring him back but that there are versions of the spell that do not allow that. After a quick stay I went on my way...."

Serpent's peak: "My journey in the Ashlands takes me to Serpent's Peak. This place is uncomfortably close to the mountain area(which has an active volcano.I don't get these people). As I go on my way I spot a house(looks nice, seems it has a snake themed decor). As I approach the house I see a snake with arms(the arms are snakes). As I walk closer the snake approaches me. Greetingss! My name is Melissa. What brings you here? I'm here to learn more about the Ashlands. In that case, come in.We can talk inside. (I enter the house and see what I believe is Melissa preparing tea with her snake 'arms')So...you can hold stuff with those snake heads... A mouth is as good as a hand...or better... I guess that makes sense... Here!Have some snakeleaf tea.(now I was visibly conserned) It's a local plant.Just drink. (I drink the tea)It's good.Anyways what did you want to talk about? I wanted to tell you a thing or two about this place.First is a warning.Watch out for firefang snakes.Their belly is greenish, not like my eyes but like my belts, and their fangs are like fire. Those snakes have a burning venom that can kill you rapidly. Uhh... Don't worry.I'm no firefang. But some wish to be.They can fulfill their wish by using the blessing of snakes. It makes one's strikes as deadly as a firefang's. Thanks for the info.Is that it? Well... I still have something to show you.(One of her side heads spits out a fireball that then turns into a fire snake that spits out a fireball. Now I sit here wondering of that fireball will turn into a little snake)This is a firespitter. It's cute is isn't it. Yeah...it's cute...Oh!Almost forgot. Mystian said you owe him a cup of Firesparks It is actually him who owes me a drink! Sounds like you two just got mad at each other last time you hung out. I guess you could say that.Anyways,so now you'll be heading to mount Drafira, right? That active volcano!NO!I lost it at fire on the road.I not going there. So...heat is the issue...Here! take this ring.It will protect you from the heat. Thank you!You were a really nice host.I'll be on my way. And I left, heading for the volcano I never thought I'd go to.As i was moving away from the house I could hear Melissa say:If you meet that fire mage in the mountains, tell him I said 'Hi!'

Mount Drafira:" As I climb up from Serpent's peak I arrive at Mount Drafira(that dreaded Volcano). This whole place is made primarily of dark red rocks. There are also buildings built into the mountain. This whole volcano is a giant city. There is lava flowing through the city(they have lava flowing at their LITERAL doorstep). Many inhabitants of this place seem to be either fire or on fire(that explains a LOT!).Wandering through the city I see a large gate.I enter and I notice a person with 4 flames floating above them(OF COURSE!) and I a..... I'm the master of flames, keeper of the four fiery seals!I am Firago, greatest fire mage in all the land!(So that's the fire mage...) Melissa said 'Hi!'. That snake?!She thinks she can talk to MY greatness?!Sitting there, bellow the mountain, with her ...snakes.. Anywa.... You don't even know the power of the four seals.First!there's the seal of knowledge. It gives me a great idea later . Wouldn't it be beter if it was instant? Of course it would be better...(he talks about this way to long)Anyways. Then there's the seal of darkness. It allows me to strike hard and unseen!Thirdly, there's the seal of speed. It allows me to move a bit faster.Lastly there's the seal of displacement. It allows me to push someone slightly but from a distance! You are no match for me! I'm not here to challenge you... I just got the great idea to not throw a fireball at your face. Then why are you... here? To learn about this place and ... about you. Oh! you're a fan!I'm going to tell you about...I already told you a lot....Good luck on your journey... And so I leave beginning my journey back! As I exit through the gate I hear:I see that ring! You couldn't handle the heat, could you?" This information has been brought to you by The Grand Archive

Im using the names of the generals so everybody can have at least an idea of what I mean Well, for this one I cant think anything more than Monks, Ninjas and Fire So, Reva Eventide in her original card has a tail that at the very end has a flame (Charmander haha) but this could trascend in the Lore of the Fire Faction. Since all will revolve around the fire (Funny) she could be something like the man in charge of carrying the torch at the Olympics. "-Name- The Flame" It would be someting cool at least. This can be linked to her Lore having the charge of the eternal flame, but she is dragged trough (Dimensions¿) with the flame, but she isnt going to give up that easily. Also a Katar for weapons Shidai as a general that she is must be something pretty damn badass, but I always feeled that design was too much, so its kinda complicated. But she can have a very straight forward gameplay style, like a benevolant monk general that can be as lethal as Kaleos (Which I honestly think that should be THE samurai general). For the Songhai I dont have much ideas since I never liked them so much, And sorry if what I say is out of place

My thoughts so far are to focus more on the central theme of Fire. Fire is commonly associated with freedom, emotion, passion, war, light, warmth, and violence. Fire has been a tool of war, and it's been a tool of civilization as a whole since it keeps us warm, cooks our food, and lights our paths. Fire has powered machines, but it's also one of our oldest tools. Fire also has a tendency to burn through things for its own benefit.
I loved the Songhai's Asiatic themes, so I'm going to keep playing with that in mind.
After a bit of brainstorming, I can think of two ways the fire faction can play out as far as overall aesthetic and theme go. It can be written as a society that is cobbled together and focuses on the idea of freedom. Everyone is free to do and live however they please. This society may also be a society of barbarians and warriors who need to raid and steal things for their own benefits (like feeding an otherwise unsustainable fire to keep it going). In this sense, I'm imagining something very similar to the Mongolians in history.
Alternatively, another compelling angle for this faction would be an Empire. You get to play with many of the themes I've mentioned, but I like the idea that an Empire like this would see itself as the shining beacon for the rest of the world to follow (working off the symbols of "Fire" and "light"). However, Empires also burn up and use people. Just like how a flame spreads, an Empire also spreads its imperialistic influence and burns up weaker societies to keep itself going. For historic inspiration, we can look at the Roman Empire, and Chinese and Korean dynasties.
I've drafted up characters for the Empire idea, but this is how I'm thinking of it so far.
