We arent quite ready for public release yet but are hopeful it will happen soon™
When that happens we should be ready to promote the game to communities that would appreciate it to build a player base and to show everyones work
Please post ideas about where we can do promotion and if anyone is willing to volunteer to do that when the time comes
1. reddit (duelyst, tactical games, card games, hearthstone subs) 2. discords? 3. other social media?

So far I reached out early on to similar game communities like Poxnora, Shardbound, Faeira. A few smaller indy things like Aeon Rivals, Essenceborn, Domain The TCG. As well as hounding the handful of various duelyst channels, and heavily promoting on Reddit and the old Duelyst Forums.
Things like Facebook, Twitter, and places I have missed are all important. I have not had the time for promotion lately, so touching back up with those communities would be good, as well as expanding.

I can share on twitter if need be, but I think the twitter Duelyst community is mostly made by veteran players that already heard about the project. Also are we doing something legal? If we are not sure I don't know if we should share stuff in these public platforms or should we just consider "private" communities

While we are borrowing assets we are certainly in a bit of a grey area. But as we are Non Profit and since Bandai should be out of the picture, it is very unlikely for their to be any issue. Should we get a cease and desist we will just have to switch to filler art, likely stick figures, much sooner than expected.
In short, we should be fine to promote. We are working on our getting our own assets as we speak.

Do we have something like a patch note? Some kind of document that highlights the main feature of a new release

Nothing that wouldn't require more work sadly than is already on ya'lls plates. Reddit and Twitter are hands down going to be your best options. Unless you have no room in the non-existent(I assume it is non-existent at least) budget for ads on Facebook. Reddit should be a priority because there are so many subreddits you can post in to tie in ours. And if you have an active twitter handler, outreach and following of people usually encourages a follow back. The more followers, the more likely your shit gets shared. I recommend a YouTube channel that posts patch notes. No easier way to explain to people than that. Most people don't have the attention span and would rather listen than read. Plus rng chance of it showing up in people's feeds who like the shit you tag on it. Card game, TBS, strategy, etc. Also a Patreon would be good. Granted you'd have to start looking at a structured way of payment for your folks and that makes things complicated. Gotta draft up an NDA and other shit. But at least the sites I've worked for have added that as an incentive. Helps motivate people to push out the real quality stuff not that it's needed right now. But hey, could have some crazy high buy-ins for people to request cards through a vetting process and other unique content. Actually really fun to draft tiers out imo. This also might bump us out of that moral area and I know nothing currently about posting requirements, but could post our version as a F2P one on Steam when it's ready(or early access). Still free, so it shouldn't be a problem. Even if that cad comes through, there's already so much trash on steam that it shouldn't be much to worry about if we have to replace assets. That is flat out exposure and much more manageable than social media. If ya'll need any help with any of the above or social media management, hit me up. All things I've handled in the past.
EDIT: Had the page loaded from this morning so didn't see the recent posts after I typed this up. I see some dude is posting patch notes but should honestly get a private channel for it.

Tiwtter is not my jam, hopefully Megix will take care of it. Amoore is supposed to be in charge of facebook. Smash has got youtube covered.
At the moment 0 budget. And until we have our own assets/are farther a long we are not revisiting kickstarter/patreon. I already tried early on and failed, given it was poorly made and thrown together last minute when the news dropped, before we had anything to show we were serious.
We do want to get into steam, but again we are not far enough along, and really want to have swapped our assets by than.
In the mean time, it would be greatly appreciated if you could revisit the various places I did early on, as well as exploring other redit pages.

I think it might be a good idea to change the youtube channel name to something more related to the project. If possible having some sort of "standard" thumbnail for each update video might help (my guess is that anything is better than a random screenshot from the game). I think this changes might be relatively low effort, and might improve slightly the performance of the youtube videos. T don't know much about youtube optimization, so further improvements will require some advanced knowledge.

It is smashes personal / general channel, and not solely dedicated to the project. But I do agree he should be using "Project Cardboard" in the titles, rather than D2.
